Hotel Lucia has quickly risen to the top of the world’s urban luxury hotel scene with a bundle of accolades from international media and travelers alike. The small, private hotel, like Portland, is stylish and cosmopolitan yet casual and comfortable. The Lucia is noticeably modern but pleasantly lacks the attitude sometimes associated with boutique hotels. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Portland within easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the Pearl District, theaters and the waterfront.
The Hotel Lucia hosts the largest permanent collection of black and white photographs created by Pulitzer prize-winning photographer and Oregon native David Hume Kennerly. The Kennerly photos are complemented by dozens of regional and national modern art pieces that hang in the lobby and meeting rooms. The art and photography alone make the trip to Hotel Lucia worthwhile for guests.
