The most innovative artists adorn the hotel with their creations as all pieces were commissioned just for Max. Tony Evanko, an internationally recognized artist designed a feature piece for the lobby utilizing his concepts of communication and ambiguity using graphs, maps, codes and alphabets. Among other well-established artists who are featured in the lobby and in the guest rooms are Jackie Barnett, Andrée Carter, Jay Backstrand, Junko Yamamoto and Pam Baker. In addition, an array of one-of-a-kind photographs canvas the guestroom doors by a list of talented photographers, including John Armstrong, Roniq Bartanen and Charles Peterson.
